Parabolan is the trade name for Trenbolone Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate. The compound is an ester modification of trenbolone. Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate ester extends the half-life of the main active ingredient by about 3-14 days. The abbreviated name used in daily life is Tren Geks or Trenbolone Geks. Differs in high exposure time.
Trenbolone is a modification of nandrolone – its synthetic derivative. This means that Trenbolone is classified as a 19-nor compound that lacks the 19 carbon normally present in testosterone and all other anabolic steroids (except nandrolone). Nandrolone and Trenbolone lack this 19 carbon and are therefore classified as 19-nor compounds. The specific structure causes both Trenbolone and Nandrolone to exhibit progestogenic activity in the body and to interact with the progesterone receptor to varying degrees. So these steroids are progestins at their core.
Trenbolone has double bonds on carbon atoms 9 and 11. This structure is the result of the separation of the hydrogen atoms that occupied the free electrons and were associated with the carbon atoms. Removal of the hydrogen resulted in a gap that was filled by double bonds between adjacent carbon atoms. This modification gives Trenbolone the following properties:
- The increased affinity for the androgen receptor enhances the effects of trenbolone compared to the parent hormone nandrolone. Trenbolone has an anabolic rating of 500, while the reference hormone testosterone has a similar anabolic rating of 100. That means Trenbolone builds muscle five times faster.
- Trenbolone is absolutely resistant to aromatization (conversion to estrogen) because the aromatase enzyme (responsible for aromatization) does not recognize and accept trenbolone as a suitable substrate for a chemical reaction. This is another difference between Trenbolone and Nandrolone, which is simply more resistant to aromatization than testosterone, but by no means completely immune.
- Very high resistance of the hormone to metabolic processes in the body. Several modifications allow Trenbolone to remain in the active phase longer than most other anabolic steroids. Confirmation is the fact that most of the trenbolone excreted in the urine is in its original state and not in the form of metabolites. This also contributes to its high anabolic effect.
